After dark: why winter is prime time for graffiti attacks
The dark evenings of winter are a prime time for graffiti attacks. Vandals are able to act under the cover of darkness without being as easily spotted, which can mean you arrive to a nasty surprise on your building exterior in the morning.
Rapid response
It’s vital to remove graffiti quickly to prevent copycat attacks and to retain the good impression your building makes on clients or customers. At OneFifty, we always aim to respond to graffiti attacks within 24 hours.
We also provide a further Graffiti Assist service for vulnerable buildings (ones which get frequently tagged), in which we apply a protective coating to the exterior surfaces to make them easy to clean, and return regularly to check for and remove any new graffiti.
Our approach
The substance used to create the graffiti and whether the surface it appears on is porous or not will directly affect how easy it is to clean. Often, vandals will use aerosol spray paint to tag graffiti, though other substances can be used.
It is essential to bear in mind that the use of incorrect graffiti removal techniques can cause shadows, scarring or peeling. We can usually remove any type of graffiti using pressured steam at 150 degrees which gently breaks down the contaminant without harming the surface. If necessary, we employ chemical cleaning products that have been specifically developed to remove more stubborn tags.
Flexible, fast and utterly reliable.
Our steam cleaning technology doesn’t require access to mains electricity or water so we can work outside trading hours and minimise disruption to your business. With our extensive experience in exterior cleaning, we use the correct techniques and products and the highest quality of workmanship to remove graffiti from your building exteriors without a trace.
